Effer Ventures, driven by a mission to revolutionise the South African and global skills investment industry, sought to assemble a robust internal team to fuel their ambitious growth. This necessitated building marketing, finance, customer support, and business development functions from the ground up. As a startup, Effer Ventures faced challenges in efficiently recruiting, screening, and onboarding new team members while adhering to South African labour regulations.

Effer Ventures partnered with The Legends Agency to provide comprehensive recruitment and staffing solutions, including ongoing employee relations management and policy and procedure development.

• Recruitment and staffing: We aggressively recruited for these positions across various platforms, attracting a strong pool of qualified South African candidates.

• Screening & Selection: From a significant number of applications, we carefully screened and selected the most qualified and experienced candidates.

• Onboarding: We facilitated a seamless onboarding process for all new hires, including two key team members who relocated from Johannesburg to Cape Town.

• Building Internal Teams:
  • Marketing: We successfully expanded the marketing team from one to six members.
  • Finance: We filled critical finance roles, including a Senior Finance Manager and support staff, establishing a functional department.
  • HR: We hired a Junior HR Assistant to serve as the in-house contact point for ongoing support from The Legends Agency, as the team rapidly grew.

• Employee Relations & Compliance: We collaborated closely with the in-house HR Assistant to foster positive employee relations and ensure strict adherence to labour laws.
