G-P (Globalization Partners) EOR Review

The oldest of the global platforms, with one flat $599 rate across 180-plus countries and a South African company you can verify at CIPC. What it does not have is anyone in South Africa, a start date in days, or a word on the CCMA. You bring the candidate; G-P refers you to a recruiting partner if you don't have one.

Who G-P suits

You already have your candidate. G-P works if South Africa is one country in a wider programme. You get a fee you can plan from without a discovery call, an entity you can look up at CIPC before you sign, and a stated dedicated account manager. You do not get a start date in days, and the total is only known once the setup fee, deposit and FX margin are on paper.

You need someone found. G-P does not recruit. It refers you to vetted recruiting partners, and its South Africa guide says plainly that you find the talent and the EOR handles the rest.

You already use an EOR in another country. This is where G-P is strongest: 180-plus countries through what it describes as 100-plus wholly owned entities, and services that run into acquisitions, relocations, contractor conversion and entity wind-down. If your South African hire is part of a larger corporate move, few providers can do the rest.

Look elsewhere if cost is your primary constraint and South Africa is your only market, you want named South African HR staff and documented CCMA representation, you need an onboarding timeline in days, you need candidates sourced rather than referred, or you want office space and equipment as a priced service.

What G-P costs

WHERE THIS FEE SITS IN THE MARKET · published monthly EOR rates, per employee

Published rates on the scale: $199, $299, $459, G-P $599, $699.

Published rates only. Several South African specialists publish nothing and quote after a call, and some charge a percentage of cost to company instead. The headline fee is rarely the whole cost.

Here is every cost line we could find for one G-P hire in South Africa. The flat rate is rare: G-P states one fee everywhere. Everything around it is silent. Reviewer estimates appear in the grey column, labelled as such; they are not G-P's figures. We do not add these up.

THREE THINGS TO GET IN WRITING FROM G-P

  • The setup fee, deposit and offboarding charge as amounts, with the deposit's return terms
  • The FX margin on rand conversions as a percentage, and whether rand invoicing is available
  • Confirmation that Globalization Partners South Africa (Pty) Ltd is the employing entity, and a written position on CCMA representation

How soon your person starts

IF YOU HAVE A CANDIDATE

Not published

G-P publishes no day count for South Africa or globally. Its homepage and EOR page say "in minutes" and "87% faster", and its global payroll page describes onboarding as typically days to a couple of weeks, without a figure. All of it describes document generation rather than a first day. Ask for the South African timeline in writing.

IF YOU NEED SOMEONE FOUND

Not offered

G-P refers you to vetted recruiting partners and publishes no South African coverage or time-to-hire. Add your own search time, or a recruiter's, before onboarding. Providers that include recruitment publish 2-4 weeks brief-to-hire; you can compare them in the tool.

Working with G-P

WHO YOU DEAL WITH

G-P's LLM-info page states that customers get dedicated account managers, 24/7 availability and localised HR experts, with G-P Assist and a support team behind them. Sales is by phone or contact form. The dedicated-manager statement does not appear on the EOR or pricing pages, and no South African hours or contact are published. Confirm who yours is.

WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY

G2 4.4 out of 5 from 1,064 reviews, per our September 2026 research pass.

WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG

The South Africa guide covers termination and severance, including at least one week's pay per year of service, and G-P sells entity wind-down at scale. It does not say who represents you at the CCMA, who attends a disciplinary hearing or who pays. Close that gap on the first call.

LEAVING

No minimum contract length for EOR hires, per the pricing FAQ. Offboarding charge, notice period and deposit return terms are not published; read those clauses before you sign.

South African compliance

G-P employs through Globalization Partners South Africa (Pty) Ltd, a CIPC-registered company incorporated in 2017, and describes its in-region HR and legal function as the largest in the industry, with a global law team and local HR experts monitoring regulatory change. Its South Africa guide names PAYE, UIF at 1% each side, SDL at 1% for payrolls above R500,000, COIDA registration, and termination and severance rules: more statutory detail than several global platforms publish. EMP201, EMP501 and IRP5 are not named. The CCMA is not mentioned at all: no position on who represents the employer, attends a hearing or bears the cost.

How G-P scores on the ten needs

These are the same ten needs the comparison tool on this site asks you to choose from, and these are G-P's ticks in it. A tick means G-P met the published-evidence bar for that need; a dash means it didn't.

Our overall impression

Where G-P stands out

Two things separate it from the other global platforms. The South African entity is a CIPC-registered company with a checkable number, which removes the owned-versus-partner ambiguity entirely. And the flat global rate means you know the fee without a call.

The enterprise credentials are real: fourteen years of operation, analyst placements from Everest Group, NelsonHall, IEC and QKS Group, clients of the calibre of Boston Dynamics, Zoom, Figma and Repsol, and services that extend into acquisitions, relocations and wind-downs.

Where you should probe

Price first. At $599 before setup, deposit, FX and offboarding, G-P is expensive against South African specialists publishing a fraction of that, several with their own entity, named local staff and a stated CCMA position.

Entity versus presence second. G-P has a South African company. It does not appear to have South African people: a registered address in Umhlanga, no staff named, no SA roles advertised.

Third, the CCMA silence. G-P positions hard on compliance and does not say who represents an employer at the CCMA, the most consequential compliance question in South African employment.

G-P FAQs

Yes. G-P is the trading name of Globalization Partners LLC, founded in 2012 by Nicole Sahin, headquartered in Boston. Its site is globalization-partners.com, with a hyphen; globalizationpartners.com is an unrelated translation company.

From $599 per employee per month, the same flat rate in all 180-plus countries, no minimum contract length. Setup, deposit, offboarding and FX margin are not published, so ask for a total.

None is published. The registered address is in Umhlanga, near Durban, and no South African staff or roles appear on G-P's site.

Employer of Record SA is an independent comparison service. We are not an EOR and we employ nobody.

How we're funded. Some providers pay us a referral fee when you request a quote through this site. Fees never affect how a provider is assessed, where it appears, or whether it is listed at all. Read our full disclosure.

Everything above comes from G-P's own published material and South African company registry records, checked on the date at the top of this page. Where we could not find something, we say so rather than guess. Full detail on our methodology page.
